Urban Farmhouse Designs in Oklahoma City, OK

When it comes to great home decor, finding pieces that fit your unique style and budget can be a challenge. Knowing where to shop is half the battle, and it’s a question I’m asked almost every day. So, today I want to tell you about a few of my favorite home decor retailers in the Oklahoma City Metro. Some of them are chain stores you will recognize, others are local gems you may have never heard of until today, but all of them are worth seeing for yourself!

Urban Farmhouse Designs

Urban Farmhouse Designs is, without a doubt, my favorite furniture store in Oklahoma City. Each piece is unique, handcrafted in the on-site workshop from reclaimed lumber. The quality and workmanship can’t be beat! Furnishings from Urban Farmhouse Designs are investments that will add beauty and character to your home for years to come.

Serendipity Market

I just started visiting Seredipity Market in Edmond a few months ago but it’s quickly become one of my favorite home decor destinations.  With so many vendors under one roof, you’ll discover a wide variety of furnishings, antiques, and home accents that will suit any style or budget!

The Market

Located just outside of Quail Springs Mall, The Market features dozens of perfectly styled boutiques all in one convenient location. With showrooms full of inspiration, and a wide variety of styles and price points available,  shopping The Market is a home decorators dream!  Come prepared to stay a while, you’ll want to soak in every detail of these charming shops.

Broadway Antiques & Market

Located in downtown Edmond, Broadway Antiques & Market is the best little antique shop. Its dozens of independently operated booths each have their own unique style, so there’s something for everyone! My personal favorite is The Barn Market, a great source for farmhouse style antiques and rustic decor.

At Home

I’m always amazed by the number of people who still don’t know about At Home! It is, undoubtedly, the biggest home decor store in Oklahoma City, carrying a huge selection of indoor & outdoor furniture, bedding, rugs, wall art, home accents and more. Visit At Home when you have a few hours to spend, you’ll want time to browse every aisle of this massive warehouse-like store.

Hobby Lobby

I’m sure you’ve realized by now that I’m a lover of all things DIY, so I can’t write a post about shopping for home decor without mentioning Hobby Lobby.  Whenever inspiration strikes, I head to Hobby Lobby for everything I need to recreate my favorite styles at home. Try creating a wreath, filling a cloche, or designing a gallery wall with items found at their stores! Shopping at Hobby Lobby will get your creativity flowing! Don’t forget to shop their 50% off sales every week to maximize your savings!

Home Goods

Home Goods, located just outside the Metro in Norman, Oklahoma, is a sister store of TJ Maxx and Marshall’s. They carry similar brands, at the same great prices TJ Maxx is known for, but their selection is HUGE! I love shopping home goods for wall art, textiles, and home accents. A trip to Home Goods is definitely worth the drive!

Oklahoma City is filled with hidden treasures just waiting to be discovered, and I’m sure I’ve only just scratched the surface of what this thriving city has to offer. I’m always on the lookout for fun new places to shop and would love to hear about your favorite finds! Where do you buy your home decor? Leave a comment below to share!

top 5 places unique christmas gifts okc

Christmas is less than 10 weeks away, and that means gift “hunting” season in Oklahoma is upon us! Finding the perfect presents for everyone on your list can seem like a daunting task, and if you’re like me you’ve probably settled into a Christmas shopping routine: socks for the hubby, a candle for gramma, andddd a gift card for the person who “already has everything”. So. Boring. This year I’ve challenged myself to find unique and meaningful gifts for everyone on my list, AND I want to help you do the same. To help bring an end to the boring-gift-giving cycle, I’ve rounded up a list of the top 5 best places to find unique gifts in the Oklahoma City Metro.

1. The Market
14001 Joel McDonald Drive
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73134
(Located just West of Quail Springs Mall)
If you only go to one store this holiday season, please make it this one! Since The Market offers goods from dozens of local vendors, they have a wide variety of unique fashion, home decor, and gifts. You’re sure to find something special for everyone on your list! Come prepared to spend some time browsing all the different showrooms and boutiques, once you’re here you won’t want to leave!

2. The Vintage Pearl
1289 E 15th St #112
Edmond, OK 73013
The Vintage Pearl is my favorite place to find personalized jewelry and gifts. Every piece of jewelry is fully customizeable and hand-stamped at their studio in Tulsa, so they are each as unique and beautiful as the ladies who will wear them. I wore one of their necklaces on my wedding day, and I love it so much I haven’t taken it off since. Because each piece is custom made, don’t wait until the last minute to place your order! It will take them 1-2 weeks to create your masterpiece, but a keepsake from The Vintage Pearl is definitely worth the wait! Orders can be placed online, or by visiting their store in Edmond.

3. Altar’D State
1901 NW Expressway
Oklahoma City, OK 73118
(Located inside Penn Square Mall)
This little gem is part of a small chain of boutiques located across the South and Midwestern states, so even if you aren’t from Oklahoma, there may be a store near you! Altar’D State sells the best womens fashion, as well as carrying a selection of home accents and gifts. What I love about this company is their commitment to giving back to their communities by donating 1% of all sales to charities, and funding employee volunteer hours every month. Shop here for the ladies in your life and you’ll feel as good about your purchases as they will look wearing them.

4. Blue Seven & Just OK
7518 N. May Avenue
Oklahoma City, OK 73116
These sister shops, located right next to each other, are locally owned and are the best places to find items for your friends and family who love to show off their Okie pride! Blue Seven is a fantastic boutique with a huge selection of stylish Oklahoma and Thunder apparel and gifts. Just OK carries a variety of made-in-oklahoma items ranging from clothing and accessories to art and coffee. Have fun exploring both stores and see what our great state has to offer!

5.  The Paint ‘N Station
7906 N. May Avenue
Oklahoma City, OK 73120
The most unique and personal gifts are the ones you make yourself, that’s why I love the Paint’N Station! Choose from a HUGE selection of pottery,  and design your piece using stencils, stamps, and sponges. Then, the folks at Paint’N Station will glaze and fire your piece and have it ready for pick up in about a week. Not the creative type? Don’t worry! They have hundreds of sample photos to get your started, and they also offer custom painting for a small fee. Have your kiddos hand-paint plates or mugs for their grandparents, take your hubby out and paint Christmas ornaments, or get the whole gang together to make some art and awesome memories! James and I did this when we were dating, and it was so much fun! We love having a reminder of our time together to display in our home! Check out their website and Facebook page for project ideas, pricing, and more!
